Apparently either the harness wasn't attached correctly, or the lines were not attached correctly in the assembly, either way it has to come back out

you running the upgrade harness? is the car running bad? how old is your o2 sensor? Sounds like something is either not hooked up right or a line is kinked. Drop the tank, check it over again. Which pump did you install?

I don't have the upgraded harness. car is running but the motor hesitates on accel and has a rough idal, o2 is new for the wideband, I did remove my stock o2 to install the wideband can that have affect. and its the racetronix pump

so you removed the o2 sensors, but put in a wideband instead? that is an issue... are you tuned even?

Good chance.that you did not get the pump intalled correctly. Either the line on the inside is bent or the pump is not hooked up correctly. Best thing rock to make sure it is a fuel issue is to hook up a fuel pressure gauge and see what how much pressure you have. If it is low pump problem. With out knowing what it is at is compared to walking around in a room in the complete dark looking for something.

update went to pull the tank line with the blue clip had no gas in it. (that's the one not conected to the fuel filter.)

did you cut the tip off the black venturi line and then clamp it back on so it seals back up? the stock one being on the stock pump ends up forming to it and being loose on the racetronix pump. this is what you need to do to make sure it doesnt come off. mine was like that and it fell on its face and would run lean as well.

SOUNDS LIKE INSTALLER ERROR.

Also the upgraded wiring is a simple great idea in general.

-Trailblazer SS - not so custom 6.0L - custom intake - custom tune
- (1) 2.4L on an engine stand (1) blown trans (2) good quad trans (1) eco trans = party

^^^^^ says you

for his mod list and such hes find without i'm running over double the power he is and i ran a stock pump on my car i was leaning out a bit int the 4500-5000 range but when i shift at 5500 its not that big of deal i have a racetronix pump now withour the upgrade and have no issues with stock wiring

when you guys wanna start talking logically about the need for the harness let me know because theres only maybe a dozen cars on this entire site that NEED the harness the rest of you DON'T.

when yo uhave a return system and you OVER pump the rail it all comes back so your taking more power to OVER pump the rail for what to send it back to the tank seems stupid and pointless to me if a stock F body pump supplies 350hp (STOCK HP) and then some with mods before they need to upgrade there pump why wouldn't an F body HIGH PERFORMANCE PUMP run in a j body. the wiring kit will boost it to 6-700hp in an f body that is fine but for most people here that aren't even 300 you don't need it. but hey spend the extra 50 bucks and over drive the rail and use more electrical power thats not needed

Where I do agree with you. I still think the wiring upgrade is simple and worth while. Hell I think the wiring upgrade would do wonders on a stock pump.

thats the othe thing you in theroy on an eco swap with an SC or even a 2.4 SC just buy the wiring for the stock pump remember stock pump is good the reason the fail is people run them below 1/4 tank and theres less fuel in the tank to keep them cool. with the venturi setup this helps keep it cool but i run mine to a 1/4 then fill up if the pumps cool it will last a long time

got it good call on the o2 builtnboosted only problem I have now it hesitates on start up

ill still disagree til the day I die the harness is a waste. I noticed smoother starts with it... no more random no starts. And for the extra $50 I got peace of mind. I have spend $50 on WORSE things for my car than that. Its a simple plug and play harness that gives the pump more voltage... like in the range where you lean out. I dont EVER want to lean out like that. Just because leaner is meaner, doesnt mean its safe. When Im racing, i go WAY above your lean spot... Id rather have the harness and call it safe.

PLease tell me you didn't remove your stock upstream O2 sensor........

If you removed the o2 sensor then it should run directly off the tables in the ecu. It makes for a less smooth running engine and not so wonderful gas mileage. I would hook it back up. Im no expert but unless you have crappily tuned table it should not be running lean from that.

I did its back on now tho still having problems at start and 5000 rpms

I may buy the harness 50 bucks it fixes it awsome it don't like builtnboost said I have spent 50 on worse things

Have you checked the fuel pressure at the rail?

And about the harness. mine came with the pump so I will be installing it to.

yes sir 41-42
Re: racetronix now running lean 17.0?????

Shouldn't it be higher? If I am not mistaken the factory pump puts out between 45-55. And what I though i had read is the racetonixs pump should be putting out around 65? I am pretty sure on that because I almost put one in my silverado because the 5.3 needs that much pressure to run correctly. You might want to check those numbers. Like the other guys said that if you did not use a clamp on the fuel pump it might be leaking of pressure.
