Um search for m62 to l61 parts list. All the parts you can get of gm partsdirect or off a lsj cobalt or ion redline. I am currently almsot done piecing one together myself. The hardest part to find will be the throttle body to supercharger adapter. That may be solved this week though according to my sources.

i like to make pro and con charts
Gm kit
pro
The charger is complete down to the last bolt
no parts chasing or part number nightmares
also if you run into som trouble you call the place you bought form like Pace perfomance for example
you will be able to get it done quicker
set cost
Con
the cost

peace together blower
Pro
will cost less
you can abosrb the costs over time
You may get lucky and score all the parts realy cheap

Con
Parts chasing lots of driving and searching
no set price means you might get bit in the ass form time to time
More time to accomplish

I just bit the bullet and charged it. It was painful but worth it becasue im all thumbs lol
hope it helps

going from 145 to 200 seems like kind of a waste to me...why not shoot for more power, if you're going to invest in a quality upgrade? You'd still barely break low 15's if youre not experienced, and maybe low 14's if you get it down right. The only thing helping you is the weight I think..of your Cav compared to the Cobalts heavier body. I'd be looking at the 'upgrades' Cobalt guys make, and start getting those in advance so you can 'upgrade' your upgrade, before you install it and are thus assembling it only once.

I havent looked into it, but what about piecing the Cobalt turbos to ours? is that possible at all with minimal fabrication? Turbo setup does way more power than the stock s/c if Im not mistaken

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the charger stage 1 putting down almost 200 to the wheels on he l61? I know the lsj was way underated by gm and those dyno around 200 so the l61 should in theory be making more power that the lsj due to the extra displacement...

Mine put down 214 at the wheels through an auto trans at 9 psi

The adapter is going to come in the kit. The GM flash works pretty well and will be good if you don't really plan on pushing your car to the limits. If You plan on pushing it hard, think about getting hptuners

Why didn't you post that kit a month ago man! I would have bought it for that price. My total cost is going to end up being $860 and tons of hours searching cobaltss.net for parts haha. Just need a couple bolts, tmap harness, and the coolant hose. This is a good deal people!

the tmap harness is an ac delco part, and the hose should be available at auto zone, pepboys, whatever your local parts store is.

Yeah thanks for the info. I know I just have to order those parts. I was getting the hard parts first and leaving the easy stuff to the end.

psh, the actual harness for this swap doenst exist anymore, you have to wire it yourself. Tmap is here and the link to whatever level of connector you want is also there along with the wiring diagram of the tmap.

Yeah don't you just get the harness from the lsj do some soldering. Thanks for the link but I have he tmap just no harness. The connector I see on gmpartsdirect is $70. Sucks To spend that and hack it up to make it work on the cav.

Connector on that link I have is 25 bucks with a pigtail. Though if you have a weather pack connector crimper you an buy the kit without pig tails and actually do it the right way.
