As the title states, post up your driving conditions (highway, city, back roads, track, ect), your pulley size and your average MPG.
I'm constantly at odds with the next step for my car. It's a daily driver first, and a fun car second. As it is, 3.35" pulley M62, it's 35+mpg capable. I know that smaller pulleys cause the boost to build at lower and lower throttle positions and RPM, making it more challenging to actually stay out of boost (and hence PE) in daily situations such as a gentle pass or climbing a small hill. Tuning the transition into boost at such low TPS and low RPM is a compromise between getting enough fuel in to keep from knocking and mutilating fuel mileage, and I'm learning it takes a good deal of time tweaking this transition in alpha-n to optimize. I know I can run the first 1-3 PSI at stoich, but that is with water/meth. Bottom line is between ~4$/gallon premium and 90 mile/day round trip i really don't want to drop below 30 mpg on my half high way, half back road commute.
So this is more of a poll thread than about potential, but i know a 300whp turbo set up would easily maintain 30+ mpg in my conditions. I also know a 2.9-2.8" pulley car is a blast to drive, but mpg inevitably seems to suffer.
Well you know my current mpg situation, lol.
I have noticed with minimal boosting, I might be closer to the 30ish range...my initial tank of 20ish mpg was undoubtedly due to having new boost foot syndrome, lol.
Once we get some more tuning in today, I plan on topping off the gas tank and DDing the car through a tank or two of gas, so hopefully by late next week I can let you know where I stand in mpg (though I'm sure there will still be some room to improve even then)
My 5speed eco gets, 20-22mpg on my 3 mile commute (one way) over the week never going above 40mph, and on road trips to detroit I've attcheived 33-36mpg depending on weather I'm cruising at 55-80mph I have a 3.0 pulley and I'm hard on my cavi, I could drive nicer and get better milage but then it wouldn't be as fun. I average about 25-28 driving like an asshole all the time. some weeks I take the freeway to work everyday, other weeks i take surface streets. I just did a 150ish mile drive through mountians and stuff the other night averaging 89 miles per hour, and got 27 MPG the way there, and 34 (downhill) on the way back.
I drive like a dick with a 1.5 mile 1 way city commute, and then a 70 mile highway trip each way on the weekend. I get about 28 mpg. And I'm on a small ring, stock exhaust, and I still dont think I have my tune perfect (but I dont think it can ever be perfect on the pcm). I could likely get better than 30 if I didnt do 80+ cruising with traffic on the highway and drove like less of a dick. When I have a sunday auto-x factored into a tank of gas that mileage drops to 20mpg. I see my mileage getting better when I get the exhaust done (like a month after the exhaust is done, if you know what I mean).

no idea as i've yet to run a tank through it without 5-6 autox runs mixed in. (well other than out to ohio for the bash last year but I didn't really keep track)
if you're careful with gear selection and a mindful eye on the boost gauge, you can keep it out of boost even on an up hill. my biggest gripe is the car going into PE when the car isn't in boost on an incline... nothing like downshifting to clean it out. LOL
we'll have to work on that once I get the clutch and flywheel in.

This is exactly what Ryan and I are dealing with now in my tune...I hit boost at such a low % throttle the slightest incline makes me hit PE, lol...we've been slowly pulling it back, in combination with relearning how to drive up hills, haha
You guys should just use my PE enable tuning histogram.

We can definitely do that Spencer. We had a worst case scenario with Matt's car the other night, where IAT's were hovering in the 150-160 range, and it still took the first few psi at stoich without knocking. I would imagine this greatly improves his mpg...
Leafy, i have a histo to log mani pressure in TPS vs RPM to try to nail down at what throttle position it hits boost. I'm just finding it's a little different depending on the load situation lol.
we'll get to it eventually... i'm still happy with the tune as it runs like a champ out on the autox course and under the circumstances of the tune, we worked with a relatively short time to get the car working proper.
My car usually does not kick into PE until 3psi, maybe 4psi. But of course a Ld9 with a M45.
Car I recently tuned Eco M62 with 2.8 pulley that made 236whp got 30mpg with the owner being new to boost (we all know how that is). I imagine on the highway around 33-34mpg.

I have a 3.062 pulley and get close to 40mpg on highway trips. One trick that seems to help is to have your VE cells that correlate with cruising a little on the lean side so that your fuel trims are always positive; that way your average AFR is actually a little leaner than commanded as opposed to having negative trims from a slightly rich average mixture.
i have a 2.2 turbo setup and im getting 24-25 city driving. i dont drive on the highway often enough to get a calculation.

Forget if I mentioned it or not, but my last 2 tanks averaged out to 30 mpg, and that was with seeing its fair share of boost. Much improved over my original 20-22 mpg, lol.
