ayo whats up people. i am a new addition to da j body family and i have couple of question (hopefully somebody can answer) about turbo on an auto tranny j body. i have a 2004 sunfire and i been lookin for some boost and some turbo sellers claim that there system can get u 235 hp @ 8 psi ,now do u get da same hp with a auto tranny?

r their any j bodys wit a auto tranny who is boosted on this forum or anybody who could tell me if there is a difference in power between a boosted auto or manual jbody?

The only difference between an auto and manual as far as power is drivetrain loss. Autos stock lose more power before it hits the wheels than manuals do. Get a bigger torque converter and you'll be ready to put down as much power as they advertise.

Soon I will be boosted with a GM charger so maybe then I'll post it.

An automatic will hold boost throughout the run because you don't have to take your foot off the gas-- Maybe that would make up for any drivetrain loss...?

Also- its more difficult to hook up an oil return w/ that bigass tranny back there.
