Well, a goofy looking guy in brown shorts came by last night around 8:00. He dropped off a package for me. He got lucky it was cool out because of the monsoon:
I opened up the package and saw this:
VERY good job packaging, and shipping wasn't too bad...less than a week.
Here's the accompanying hardware and brackets:
Shot of the core:
WAY out of focus, but here are the welds and steel mounting inserts:
I think something is going to need a little trimming:
No hurry though, something is still missing:
and obviously works not getting done very fast (hot as all heck out all day and night):
Oh well, pushrods, timing set, and HD locks/retainers in the mail, then ready for blueprinting and machining.
And of course this still needs some work
BOTTOM LINE: I don't think I could have gotten a nicer intercooler for the price- $265 shipped. There was a note on his site saying he was going to be raising prices, which is the only reason I bought it so soon
I would highly recommend Tyrus @ johnnyracecar.com for all your non-full-drag air/air intercooling needs

Haha, sorry, wrong Mike. I was referring to Mike Clements (cavalier connection Mike)

that intercooler looks like it flows like @!#$!
It's flowed enough to put 500whp through a Honda engine, and I'm only looking for 350 with mine, so I should be okay. I'm not sure what the pressure drop is like though, but if it was that bad, this guy wouldn't be in business anymore. My project is still a 'budget build' (it's taken me two years so far, and I've only managed to get about $3000 into it), so this being a decent intercooler at a more than affordable price I was all over it.

Im glad people are still boosting the ohv's
I still want to do mine

Yeah, it's different. But, this car is completely gutted, all options and anything else not needed to go straight for a few seconds has been removed. $2500 for a forged crank is just too much, and severly limits any real potential this motor has. Looking to go with a 3800 in this in the end. The LN2 will probably end up in a little coupe for my brother or something.
