I'm not all that familiar with spool times that come along with the average t3/t4 people are running on the 2.4 engine. I'm putting together a turbo kit, and I came across a turbo a friend of mine is selling for cheap. The thing is, it's a IHI T04S 60-1, which is essentially a Super Spooling T4. Big power, quick spool.
What kind of spooling times were people getting with the Johnny Mack kits with the T3/T04e's? Any other kits produced running different trims of t3/t4's?
Thanks.
t3/t4 57 trim .63 ar exhaust with a small/medium wastegate leak, see 1 psi boost at 3 and full around 4 grand er SO quicker once i fix that leak, and i have 8 inch by 21 intercooler to fill and 2.5 inch intercooler piping,

So, I'm a bit confused on how the boost is coming on. Have you boosted the car before the leak? What is full boost for you? I figured with the large displacement of the 2.4 that the turbo would spool faster, but maybe the leak is hurting you.
What manifold are you running and which wastegate?
the turbos abit big for the car man
sum porting ect would help
and no iv always had the leak i gotta try to fix it
so im sayin if i fix it i might spool a tiny bit faster
full boost which is 6.5 around 4200

2.3 Ho with a T3/T04E (.48 exhaust and .70 compressor). I start seeing boost at 1500rpm and at full boost @ 8psi @ 1700rpm.

2.3 Ho
Extremely ported LD9, T3/04e (.60 turbine stage 2 wheel, .70 compressor 54 trim wheel), I start seeing boost at 2000 rpm, full 14 lbs at 3000 rpm.
