GM SC EVAP Plate Q? Where does Right Hose go?
Tuesday, August 09, 2005 9:12 AM
On the evap unit looking at it from the front where does the line on the right go. I know the one on the left simply goes to the timing chain housing but I dont see where the one on the right goes. It usually goes to the stock air box, but if I am not running it where should it go. Should I put a breather filter on it, or drill and tap into the air intake?

Also, there is a extender hose that goes from the TB to the air intake "s" tube, my kit didnt have it, was the tube suposed to go to that

Any pics of what others have done would be great.

Thanks
Chris

It goes into the intake, and you could put a breather on it if you desire....I just picked up a brass nipple, drilled a hole in my intake, and threaded it in. I like knowing that any oil that may comes out, goes back in, versus clogging a "breather" filter.

As for this other tube, don't worry about it, doesn't sound like anything you need, unless it's for the TB itself.

i put some rubber tube on it and then a little breather filter. I havent seen any oil come outta in in 10k boosted miles.

Or you can get creative and run that line to a catch can and do what go did and tap into the intake pipe.

Yeah I've yet to see anything but a film of oil on that hose, but hey, I'm just like that . I used to have a breather filter but have since lost it.

ride your 10 speed down to the local hardware store and get a rubber hose that fits.

remeber to get a reflector that you broke when u tried to take that 10speed off some sweet jumps.

if u're using an intake, the intake probably has a bung welded on it from when it was an n/a intake, so just throw it onto there.
