Just wondering I sent off an email to them to see if I can just get the stage II pulley because its bigger and will get more revs to the charger = more boost or can custom make me a bigger pulley
I know with the ecotecs the head holds back the pulley from being any larger and they shave off the unused EGR port on the stage II kits but I can get a machine shop to do that for me. I've seen it done on Dauber and Jenny's they were making like 14psi on thiers with the larger pulley and a stage I charger

Now thats a good question. Although it would be better if you could just switch out the pulley and all other necessary components and thats that but if you have to machine things then I personally would be kinda iffy.
i want to do the same thing, but dont i need to upgrade the fuel if the pulley will work?
i've been thinking about this for a little while now. i'm not sure where/how i'd be able to get another pulley. keep us updated, rodimus. hopefully rsm will be able to help us out. after all, more boost = more fun (and more trouble)!
Blown.

ahah or GM supercharger if you wanted the supercharger way
im seeing 10-11psi on the 2.6" pulley soon i will test the 2.5" i have here...
The First Twin Charged jbody
blue car (R.I.P) - 240whp @7psi..
silver car - 305whp 315lbs.tq @15psi (91 Octane) or 420whp & 425lbs.TQ @20psi (94 octane+Alcohol Injection)
All dynos run on a Mustang dyno
If you go to Vortech's website you should be able to buy a pulley from them that would work, if RSM won't sell you one.
no vortech doesnt make the pulley housing that runs off the camshaft and drives the charger only rsm makes that part
not everyone wants to wait 3 more years for the gm charger

I was under the impression it was out already for the ecotec... but just expensive like the 2.4L's were at the start....

nope only the p/n still isnt avail, you can rip one off a 2.0 engine, but if you got one of those why bother with the 2.2 engine

c'mon ppl i really wanna run 8-10psi
I talked to rsm a couple of years ago for a bigger pulley/housing,but they wanted like $800 for it.And they wanted the car to make sure it fit properly.Im not about to drive all the way up to canada, plus its not worth the money for a couple extra psi.My car used to see like 8-9 psi on a cold day,but the norm was 6-7.That sucks your only seeing 5 psi.How is your blow off valve adjusted? Are you sure its not leaking boost?

I've actually been talking back and forth with nelson about this. Granted, mine is a 2.4, but basically for 900 bucks, I can get the upgraded pulley and drive housing, and It should give 12-15 psi..... with my IC, I expect to see about 10, and they said they could make it for me in november.... If all goes well, this should be a go by the end of november first of december... I'll elt you all know.... Sorry this isn't for the eco though...
still I think I'll be pretty pleased with 10 psi of intercooled boost through my LD9

well i know the stage II pulley for the eco will fit and its bigger so with that its some more boost so thats what im trying to get now if i go custom then they might be able to squeeze some more size out of it but i want to get as much boost through it as i can

But why do you need more boost? Don't you already run 14s when you take the belt off?
fortune cookie say:
better a delay than a disaster.
who wants high 14s? I want something a little more than that in the area of 220whp
anyways got the email from them they stated 950 for the stage II drive housing unit now the question I have is how much boost will it make and how big cc injectors i would need to run it

this may sound stupid but dont we want a smaller pulley?
is this sumthing that can be made farely easily at a machine shop?
the pulley on the S/C drive shaft is already really small, and any smaller will make for more belt slippage. Therefore we will have to get a larger drive housing and larger pulley inside of the drive housing. This will make the S/c pulley spin faster. The larger drive housing is actually only about a half inch larger from what nelson told me.

i sent another email asking what kinda boost the stage 2 pulley makes with the stage 1 blower
1989 Turbo Trans Am #82, 2007 Cobalt SS G85
well that prob means maybe 9-10 for us eco guys

man thats alot of money for a pulley assembly to add a few psi, that sucks, i would sell it and go turbo, all you need is a $50 or less, boost controller and you can make all the psi you want
R.I.P. Brian Klocke, you will never be forgotten
i dont care if a turbo is 2 bucks i dont want one
1989 Turbo Trans Am #82, 2007 Cobalt SS G85
yea you can put the stage 2 pulley on a stage I kit as long as you shave the material off the side of the head and rsm does sell it seperately
