ya remember I had the post like 3 days ago about my car smoking oil smoke....
well it WAS the hot side oil seal and it WAS the oil return being to small that caused the pressure increase.....
so I was at Racetech Automotive today and that was all determined...... with the help of Joe we rebuilt the turbo, replaced JUST the hot side oil seal...adjusted my wastegate..... no biggie... I fixed some wiring.... and replaced the oil return line barbed fitting off the turbo with a larger one and used a 1/2" tube to drain.... next weekend were pulling the pan and re-doing the tap that RSM racing did with a larger size and welding it in properly.........
So everything is almost fixed... just need to re-do the charge piping.... get SAFC and get a fuel pump..... I think thats it... oh and maybe another stage 3 clutch.. my first stage 3 was done 3 weeks after I got the car.... i've had it for time I've owned my car ... so like aug 2003 to now.... it's starting to slip just a little bit.....

so I went out after I came home and went for a drive... the cars temp was cold...... I started it.... drove off no smoke or anything....(it's been smoking randomly, probably due to the blow oil seal in the turbo for the last 3 weeks) so even though it's rebuilt it's still smokin a little...... Should I expect this...... cuz it smokes a lot after I drive it in low boost..... I've only hit boost once since I got it rebuilt this afternoon..... so.... should there still be oil burn off from all the weeks with the oil getting in to the exhaust and all in the turbo where it shouldn't be......
am I worrying over nothing ????????

Yes you are...lol ...glad everything went well...now bring it to cayuga on friday..i'll bring the video camera...
Even though you aren't reading boost, the turbo is still spinning. I personally think that even a 1/2" return is small. My turbo H/O set-up uses a 1" return and my turbo sunbird uses a 3/4" return... both are total straight shots downward.
What is the oil pressure going into the turbo?

oh like 30psi and under .......... it was smoking really bad last night again from one friends house to another.... then I left my buddys house to come home ... it smoked until the end of his street and then it stopped smoking completely.... but when it smoked it was like as much as before........ now this was all in the same day as the rebuild...... then I left his street it was fine under boost normal driving etc.....
Could it be my motor.,.... what tests can I do to find this out ....it's really starting to PISS ME OFF !!!!!! DAMN IT !!!
It's my daily driver so it's killing me here.... Minion HELP !!!

like when I say it smoked .. it was burning oil smoke... and white cold start up smoke together..... then the white wen't away and the oil stayed for a little then everything was fine...
it seems like every other drive I take it on it acts up with smoke....... whats that all about ..??
I'm running out of Ideas....
