anyone know the purpose of that crossover plastic piece in the coolant lines for the heater core? im running a turbo now and want to know if i can get rid of it or what the purpose of it is . this is on my 2000 z24 5 spd (now 3100 powered). i would think without it would allow for better cooling and less mixing of the hot/cold coolant?

Yeha you can get rid of it, my turbo is water cooled and i had to get rid of it.
