has anybody had problems with oil coming out of dip stick sheath on the 95-97 2.2ohv.
it happens only under boost and it is on a fully built new motor with 2500 miles on it

Never have I had any oil coming out of my dip stick sheath.
by the way ,what is a sheath

No but ive had oil pumping out of my breather like no tomorrow , like he said do a compression test or pull the head and see whats up.

It is a new motor . This is the third motor it has happened to. I though I might be getting blow by but I had a shop put the bottom end together on this motor and it is still doing it

I have the same problem, it only happends at 7psi and above. I noticed it when I started to smell oil burning out of my car... I started to sweat bullits.. I have no idea why it does this.. my oil return is through my dipstick tube I'm wondering if its back feeding and causing it to blow back out under pressure like that... I thought about getting another dipstick it self and hoping that will cure the leak with a new seal.... ohh well

never heard of this happening before..... ever......... very wierd .... get a compression test.............

thats messed up .... my car smelled like burning oil for a week after it was boosted.... then stopped...... the smell came from the turbo ..... the packing oil that was used on the turbo so it wouldn't rust was burning off............

so how much oil is coming out ???? is it like LEAKING out or just drops and spatter in your engine bay ???

you may have too much crankcase pressure........ whats your breather hooked up to .....

ive had my dipstick shoot out and oil cover my exhaust manifold before.

the reason it happend on mine was when i installed my HO manifold, i accidently pinched off the crankcase breather tube. causing a nice mess.

ied check that hose before anything. make sure its free flowing and not plugged or pinched.

^ also make sure its not rehooked to the intake to be pressurized by boost!!

it can go on the intake from the turbo though..... correct......

My thoughts exactly, put a little breather filter on the valve cover
and check your compression

that dip stick cap is held on by a rubber o-ring and a little twist of the cap....... any EXTRA pressure and POP.... it'll shoot up ....

I have oil coming out of my breather filter on my 2.4L After a hard run,the filter will be saturated with oil.And sometimes when im driving,i get smoke coming in through the vents.It smells like oil vapors.Anybody else have this problem on their 2.4?

I had a compretion test done and a leak down test and they told me everything was great.

make sure the pcv valve is free to breath!!!!

you may have too much crankcase pressure........
you can run a vacuum pump to help reduce the pressure in the oil pan!

or moroso makes a evac system that works well but it pulls to much pressure and will pull oil out into the exhaust.

see I'm going with the o ring on the dipsick itself... I have checked myself on the crank case ventelation.. my pcv is brand new.
