Hey guys, I'm thinking of going back into boost, but this time I want to do everything right and have it be the best kit I every design. Anyways some question about the turbo manifold. I'm going to buy the manifold flange and some schedule 40 bends to weld up my manifold, the question is, I know there will be 2 90 degree bends, 2 "T" bends for the 4 exhaust ports. Instead of using 2 X "T" bends, can I use a "+" bend which will allow me to attach the turbo inlet flange to one of the 4 ports? I hope this does not restric much of an exhuast flow more than it being a log style....
Also, for the exhaust flange, I'm directing it down toward the ground so the turbo will be bolted "up" to the manifold from the bottom, I'm going to use a "T" off the port so one is for the flange and one is for wastegate, guys think this will work?
Where can I get the exhaust manifold flange for the cheapest?
You could probably use a +
but the outlet to the turbo flange would have to be bigger than 1 1/4" .
.
just buy one
I was a retard, and now I'm permanently banned.
ebay has the flanges both of them, wait which motor
2200

ya, sounds like a good idea to just buy one, or weld a flange to ur stock manifold it will never crack.
I dont think the whole thought process went through on that comment id just cut him some slack
Buying one is so easy. And its not like they are to expensive.

But that takes out the fun part.
ya you can weld right to it i know..... because my turbo manifold is made from my factory one. just make sure to use high heat. i wish the digital camera was around i'd show u a pic.
or you can mount the turbo on the header w/ it collects and bolts up to the downpipe persay..... i made an adapterplate for mine, it bolts up and turbo sits to the left of the engine, plenty of room, not in plain sight.... very cheap to do
i got a sig warning
