well i was geting some info with a guy at a speed shop today and was curious as to what kind of turbo he would put on a 2.4L.......he recommend a turbo somewhere in the range of 50 trim with a .48 a/r....would this be to small?.....would it heatup to quick ....he said that it would spool quick with very little lag.........i plan on running 5-10 lbs ......and more in the future but pondering the thought of a 60 trim with a .48 a/r.....im kinda conteplating the super 60......but the more i read i get lost in opinions that every one has....kinda hard to get my minds set one one turbo....thanks again for the advice........and yes i searched and read ......but didnt really find anything that made me make up my mind......

It would spool up with little lag, so yes he's correct but you're more likely to heatsoak with that size turbo. Also remember, PSI on 1 turbo is not the same on another turbo. I would suggest you learn how to read compressor maps (which isn't necessarily easy to understand) and figure out how a turbo would match to your motor and how it would match to the power output you want and match to your powerband.

I hate to say it again, but the T3 Super 60 is probably the most popular turbo go with on a J-body motor around here.

Anymore questions, just ask.

precision turbo SC3431 E should be about what you want. I heat soaked two t3 super 60s allready. Also look at jeff filkins aka kane5576 . he went through two of those also.

Dragracemyz24 i knew you pop in and have a comment or two...lol.........i did some
searching and found want i want......after talking to a couple of speed shops, what i felt that would fit the car and what i personally wanted i went with a T3/T04E 57 trim with an .63 a.r on the turbine side....i didnt want something that was gonna get heat soak at like 5-6,000 rpms......so i went with this so can carry me through to 6,500 and still have good efficiency.. something like that should come around to full boost at like 3,500-4,000rpm which IMO is good ........full boost at a low RPM range is good to accell but i hate loosing top end .....i rather have top end.... apprieciate the help guys....but this is something that felt right in my opinion...everyone has there opinions and this is what i picked.....but i am the type of person that can read and research all i want but dont know fully till i do it....yet again thank you for the help . if it doesnt work to my likings then i will chose different......then back to the drawing board......it cost me more money in the end but as my dad always said .
" you want to play you gotta pay".....and that i shall

UncleD - Same turbo as your's on my Ho. I get full boost (10lbs) at 1700rpm. Seem about right since the Ho flow alot more than the 2.2
