Like the topic says, are they the same, right down to the stall converter and the bell housing? If they are different, please let me know what I will need (WITH PART NUMBERS IF POSSIBLE!). I am very close to buying a 2.4 engine, but as of right now (until I get a reply back) I'm not sure if the engine comes with the transmission already bolted up. If the new engine comes without the tranny, would I be able to use my 2.2 transmission just unblot and rebolt?

Also, will the auto-trans interceptor work with both engines? Like if I got one now, would I be able to use it with the 2.4?

You mean the holes that bolt the engine to the trans are different between the two? I've heard they are the same, but am looking for solid info on the matter.
