ok guys ive got an 01 z24 5 speed and my clutch has never seemed right. It's like it has no pressure in the pedal and it catches near the top. First thing I thought of was a new clutch. But then I drove two other cavalier's the same model and make, and their clutches feel exactly the same. I also drove a 99 z24 5 speed and its clutch feels perfect, has good pedal pressure and catches more toward the bottom... so now im just lost.. any comments or suggestions would be great!

well mine used to catch about 2/3 from the floor. today i replaced my clutch and bled the fluid andit catches almost at the floor. big difference!!! and its nice. i would first try bleeding the clutch. how many miles do you have on your car?

i'm having the same problem. it catches 2/3rds from the floor also.
i have 125km on my 2000 cav 2200 OHV i bought it in january
the shifts dont go in all the way. even if i press the cluch to the floor.
