I was talking to a mechanic and he said that
"Z24s have strong engines, but still have the stock crankshaft, and when you kids are trying to soup up your cavaliers making them shift harder, your wrecking your crankshafts"
And this was a friend of my dad's, so I think I may have to take it out unless I have a compelling arguement, any ideas?

Mike Karas put 410hp and 400 some ft lbs of torque to the wheels with a stock crankshaft
So I think with anything you are doing, you're fine
tell that to my dad
Gonna talk to the guys at the transmission shop, see if I can sway them into convincing my dad (He'll believe anyone in a uniform, I think, heh)

Unless the torque convertor is locked up (which it isn't when shifting), there is NO ADDED STRESS on the crankshaft because the engine and transmission don't have a direct connection. I could go with it being harder on the clutch packs in the transmission, but there is no way its doing anything to the crankshaft. Not to mention, have you ever seen the stock crank? Its like 60lbs of cast iron.

Buy stuff from CarCustoms Ebay! Won't be disappointed!
it can be alittle harder on the transmission, but its not going to harm the engine come hell or high water.
