SPEC cluthes

this is kind of a dumb post but i just want opinions. idn how popular the Spec clutch is for J-bodies but im looking into getting one because for the price they seem good. Gravanatuning has some decent prices with these. im boosting my Z24 at 7psi and the stage one has a torque capacity of 250 lb......the stage 2 has a capacity of 310lb and is aggresive but street friendly. it also mentions how it is good with launching (which ill need because i gotta do some racing). but my question really is who has them and which stage. i dont want to go to extreme. if you think the stage 1 will do just fine then let it be but if the 2 would be better(which it prolly is but i dont want it if it dont need it). thanks
heres the links also:

oh and 1 more question. what were some prices people paid for install. i know they change due to places and what not but just so i can get a rough est. thanks again and sorry for a long thread.

Wrong forum.

I have the stage 2. It's very streetable and isn't much different from the stock feeling.

Purchase your clutch from Karo at carcustoms.net

I have a SPEC Stage 4 on my 2.2. I have done 10 runs at the track with slicks, and the clutch is still holding up. I did not notice any slipping while on slicks. I paid $289 for my stage 4.

David, what other plans do you have for the car, tires, transmission, etc. 250crank HP shouldnt need any special clutch. myself for something like that a Stage 2 or equal clutch should be sufficient. however i'm not "bought" on the SPEC clutch's quite yet, i've seen a few that havent lasted worth crap and have a local guy running around here on slicks that runs 14.0's on a stock clutch with the pressure plate that has been tweaked... I'll shoot you an email back when i get home as i'm @ work right now and cant access email (not even supposed to be on forums AHAHA)
