I was going to install the pahantom grip LSD on my 2000 sunfire 2.4 auto, and I was talking to a friend of mine who is a transmission specialist and he wasn't 100% sure but he thought I would have to dismantle the transmission fully to put this item in. As the sunfire setup is different from the grand ams etc. So I was wondering how the guys who have this on their car installed it, whether the transmission had to be taken apart or not and whether it is difficult to do, as my friend told me not to bring the car to him as he thought it was a big install.
since it intstalls into the diff, and the diff is in the center of the transmission, safe bet to take the transmission out then apart
not difficult once out though...
yes, the Isuzu must be taken apart in order to install this unit.
