Ok my car makes a howling/whineing sound when driveing. It dosent do it when i turn left. It sounds like it might not be doing it under acceleration. Do you think its the driver side half shaft? Oh yeah its a 97 Auto with 59k miles. Also its comeing from the driverside front.

r u talking about the tranny noise?

My transmission make a howling noise, but I have a bad bearing that will be fixed when I finish the tranny rebuild.

I dont know if he is talking about tranny noise, but it sounds like he is talking about something that sounds like a wheel bearing.

Ok its the wheel bearing. I jacked the front up and checked the wheel bearing and it has play. So i guess ill replace the spindle this weekend.
