alright so right now i have a 2000 cavalier 3spd auto, i want a manual transmission, now my original plan was to get a new tranny and go from there but i am wondering if this would work being alot more convienent and killing 2 birds with 1 stone, i want to do a complete engin swap, from the 2.2 3spd, to a newer ecotech 2.2 5spd, now if i did this, and got the interior pieces would i be able to switch out the 2.2 auto, for the ecotech 5spd, and be done with it (after interior pieces and stick) or is there more to it?
Or, you could buy a car with a 2.2 5speed and swap all of the parts you like from your car into it.
It'd be cheaper most likely.
