i installed a new flywheel and cluch on my car. but now it won't start. it sounds like its binding up, so i shimmed the starter out more...and it sounded like it was spinning faster, but still sounded like hell. right now i eyeballed it and it looks like its pretty solid in there. the starter is only about 2 years old. if anyone has any suggestions, that would be awesome. because i'm truly stumped.

you put everything together the right way?
yes, everything is together the right way, its all torqued. i just can't seem to align the starter.

Make sure nothing got caught between the trans and engine when you put it together. You could still get your torque, and be in the wrong place. Make sure you put the right bolt into the hole over the starter. The wrong bolt will punch a hole into the starter casing.
