can someone explain to me what the interceptor actually does and if it's bad fior my tranny... thanks

The Interceptor is basically a shift kit form the 4T40E (4-speed) automatic trans. it increases the transmissions' internal line pressure, which results in much firmer upshifts and downshifts.

As for being bad for your tranny, quite the opposite. When you set it on about 50%, its actually good for the trans. The reason is because as autos get older, they tend to start to slip. With the interceptor, it tightens everything up, which results in less internal wear and tear

I have one on my car, and its definitely a nice mod.
