All i keep seeing is posts about isuzu transmission breaking and then getrags gears dying. I'm confused on which one is actually better for my need. I have a 97 2.4 DOHC motor with the auto transmission. My plans are to rebuild whole motor and turbo it. I don't feel like dumping all this money into getting the getrag in my car if it's not even better.
I hear about people just getting the isuzu and rebuilding it to make it stronger. I also heard the getrag has plastic syncro so im guessing that can't be as strong as metal

any help would be great, if somsone could clear this up for me and give me some help since i got the money now just don't know which way to shoot

People will say Isuzu = @!#$. Getrag...is okay, definatly an improvement from the Isuzu. THe thing iwth the getrag is going into reverse... Just go put it in fifth before reverse and you wont hear the 'getrag growl".
