The infamous Islutzu tranny
Thursday, June 30, 2005 11:08 PM
well I noticed 2 days ago that my speedometer wasnt working so I pulled out the VSS to discover a little bit of metal shavings on it. Then it started acting funny like it would get stuck in gear even with the clutch dis-engaged... so I know I am facing a rebuild or replacement... I would rather rebuild because I know that I can get longer life out of it.... what upgrades can I go with and is there a better tranny (such as the NVU550 I think its called) that I can bolt in instead? I need to know what cars to take these parts out of too. I heard something also about a differential from a geo storm? Please let me know... thanks

If you are a 2.4, I would go with a getrag tranny.
