is there any difference in the trans from the 2.2 eco and the 2200 2.2 ohv. i know the newer ones have getrags and was wonderign if they are interchangable between
2200 and eco 2.2
a local yard will sell 2001-2002 getrags for 200 for the 2200
and 2001-2005 getrags for the eco for 500?
im just curious if they are the same

The bellhousing is different, the internals are the same.
15.3 @ 89.97mph, 14's on the way?
For Sale:
Getrag '00-'02 2.4 8000kms $800
if its at pancho villa , tell them its the 2.2 ohv trans , pay the 200 and leave quick , lol
the bellhousing is different , im not sure about the internal gearing , i keep headering different stories about them being the similar to the ohv isuzu gearing , and others being the same gearing as the 2.4 and eco getrag gearing
as well as a eco trans having the 3:55 final drive instead of the 3:94 , depending what model the car was , i know the build info on a LS sport sedan i had back in 03 show it having a 3:55
Anyone know of any good pics of the Eco bellhousing?

do the isuzu axles still fit in a 2000+ getrag for the 2200 motor
Everything GM has published says that every Getrag from 00-05 in J-bodies and N-bodies are the same. It wasn't until the Cobalt, HHR, and Vue that anything was changed. The Cobalts have a slightly lower (3.84:1) FDR, while the HHR and Vue have higher (4.11:1 and 4.41:1 respectivly) FDR. As for the 1st - 5th, they all seem to have the same ratios EXCEPT the Vue, which has a .81 5th compared to the .69 everything else got.
There are only 3 RPO codes for it, the M86/M94 (rated for lighter vehicles with a maximum GVWR of 4094 lb) and MG3 (MG3 is rated for heavier vehicles with a maximum GVWR of 4475 lb).
M86 Getrag F23 3.58 2.02 1.35 0.98 0.69
M94 Getrag F23 3.58 2.02 1.35 0.98 0.69
MG3 Getrag F23 3.58 2.02 1.35 0.98 0.81
I believe the M86 and M94 where the 2.4 and 2200, and then the Eco carried over the M86 RPO...... or its possible the RPO's where for J vs N bodies...... not sure.
