You didn't search hard enough.
I just finished reading a crapload of info from ppl that did the swap and said what was involved... in fact some had pictures (links are dead)
Anyway I am JUST about to do this swap (well Racetech will do it for me) but I've been researching it. You need:
-NVT Tranny
-NVT front mount
-NVT slave cylinder if you have a 92
-NVT Throwout bearing
You need to lengthen the shifter linkage bracket a bit to reach the stock cables...
other than that it SHOULD bolt right up.
Mine should be done by end of July with:
Spec Stage 3 Clutch
NVT550 Tranny
NVT550 Axles
Solid Mounts
B&M Shifter
I'm pretty stoked.

..Ok so maybe I needed to look a little more..lol.. but anyway, is there any other good advise?... and what about the axles?
FIll me in on this. What is the NVT550 ?
http://nystreetscene.com
NVG-T550, its a transmission from a 2.3HO quad 4... its supposed to have better gears than one from a '97 2.4.. 5-speed...
Okay, so you need:
*The tranny out of a 92-94 HO
* Front mount
*Axles
*throw out
BUT:
* what about the clutch? Do you need the one for the NVT (2.3) or for the 2.4?
* how do you 'lengthen' the shift linkage bracket? On the tranny or in the car?
*does the stock second mount work?
they said on one post that you use whichever clutch fits the flywheel, and i believe they said that the one from the HO2.3 is actually lighter(flywheel).. Im not sure how to lengthen the links and all they said about the mounts was that youll need the front one from that tranny.. Id like to know the answers to those questions also..
i made a post over a year ago when i did the swap; all of the answers are in there.

LOL
ive still got to do something with my W41 trans ive got , just need to save money for the lsd for it
you CANNOT use the isuzu throw out bearing, the metal lines are shaped differently, AND the lines come out from the center in different places.

Are you sure... we sat down with the throwout and looked at the tranny with the NVG Throwout and we can definitely "make" it work. The lines run slightly differently yes but that notch in the transmission doesn't need to be there....
Definitely not bolt-in.
