Quick question, is the 2000 and up cavalier getrag 5 speed the same on both the 2200 and 2.2 eco engines?

no, bell housing is different. you can get a shop to swap the housings for you if need be, and it is worth paying someone to do it. lots and lots of little parts

if you are, stick with the bellhousing on the OHV transmission
that bolt pattern bolts up to any 60* V6 GM makes.
the pattern on a Getrag transmission from an ecotec car does NOT
