Tranny Rebuild

Alright< just curoius if anyone has done a tranny rebuild for a 2.4 5 spd. tranny? I believe my syncro's have went bad, but taking it to a shop today to have them test drive it and let me know what they think it is. So I can go from there. Only problem is I'm not sure if it is the 99 isuzu tranny or if it is a 00 tranny. I was told the motor and tranny were replaced in the car. and the tranny has the junk yard yellow painted numbers on it. So That tells me that atleast has been replaced. Now I'm just not sure if the motor had been swapped as well. hopefully gonna be pulling both motor and tranny out so I can get the numbers to run. so I no longer have to hope I get the right things for the car. Any info is greatly appreciated!

Well I found out the tranny that is on the car is infact a 99. So I'm thinking it is safe to say my motor is as well. Or hopefully. Alright. Just curious wanting to know if anyone has experienced this and can tell me what it might be. I'm leaning towards my clutch being toast. Car sitting in neutral it makes a rubbing sound. Or a spinning sound. doesn't want to smoothly engage any gear after driving a short distance. Doesn't even want to stay in 2nd And 4th seems to want to jump out when I left off the gas. I'm thinking clutch and shift fork. Anyone have any ideals?
