Quickquestion, how much fluid for a trans oil and filter change?

7 quarts or 2 gallons to be safe (ie have an extra quart in case the level falls off after you drive it which it almost always does) if you have the 4t40e
i got 2 gallons of AT fluid for about $22-$24 the other day
is this just for an oil pan/filter change or the whole flush(including the amount on the torque converter)?
that seems alot for just the oilpan/filter change...
it's 7 quarts for trans and 4.5 quarts oil....that's if you just drain and drop the filter....or pull the filter out in some cases.
