whats cars come with the getrag trans?
just wondering
All 2000+ Manual Transmissions are Getrag Transmissions. The Isuzus were before that (95-99).

All cars? The 00+ Cavalier Manuals. The 03-05 Cavalier automatics. Cobalt, Cobalt SS, and the Alero. Thats it for all I know? The Redline might have it?

Bro, I'm refering to J-bodies. As far as other cars, I don't know but this is J-body oriented so that's how I was refering to my question. Automatics have the 4T40E 4-speed transmissions.

Well i think some turbo dodge cars had it like the 1991-199? daytona had it, the spirt rt had it. for Gm i would guess any thing bolted to a ecotec
Getrag is a company.
The "getrag" or F23 code transmission came in 2000-05 manual J-cars, regardless of what engine (2.2L, 2.4L, 2.2 Eco).
I've heard that the company that made the Getrag is the same as the old Muncie transmissions... but since I don't know crap all about older J's, I can't tell you what ones.

so how can i check the tranny in my 02 2.2 sohc cav to c if i have the "getrag" tranny.i was told the sohc cars didnt come with those trannies.
If you have a 2000-05 Cavalier or Sunfire... and it's a 5 speed manual... then you have a Getrag.
I get "told" stuff all the time... usually by people that just don't know... LOL

Bro, Cavaliers don't come with SOHC motors. Yes, they have 1 cam but it is a OHV motor, not SOHC. And like we said before, all 2000+ manual J-bodies have Getrag transmissions.

You asked what cars come with a Gettrag... You never said "J-Bodies" specific...
Come to think of it now, I'm not sure if the Cobalt's or Redline have the Getrag though. I was actually thinking engine-wise, lol
