when i was coming home from work i was shifting threw my gears real hard and pulled apart the wire in my shifter cable and i was woundering is the 2.4 and 2.2 shifter cables the same. i have a friend with an extra set of shifter cables he will give me of his 2.2 so i can put on my 2.4.

i am sorry about the help issue. this is the first i have seen it. i work for a gm dealer and have looked these up before, and i think that they are a different part number as i recall. but i am pretty sure they are different.
I'd think they'd be the same.. after all, it's the engine that is different, but the transmission is the same.
did you ever get an answer ??? i have a 00 getrag tranny (2.2OHV) and a shifter assembly and cables from an 00 Z24..........i am wondering if these will work together.....

If you have the Isuzu, the cables are the same for the 2.2 and 2.4
If you have the Getrag, the cables are the same for the 2.2 and 2.4 and EcoTec
