Well this has been the first Isuzu that I have seen take a break like this. I bought the car VERY cheap as the transmission was blown. I bought it knowing it needed a tranny and have been stock piling Isuzu's for a year or two now.

It destroyed the speed sensor. I also have a good handful of pieces that came out of it.
Apparently it broke the pin in the spool that holds the spyder gears and shot out, the guy said he still drove it for a week after that.

see it all the time, the diff pin can be welded into the carrier to prevent this.
