I have a spare 2.4 manual trans sitting in my garage. I've done a search and read up on the 3rd&4th gear swap..but there are ppl saying different things. In one of the post a guy put the geo storm 3rd/4th gears and on other the guy put gears from a 2.2 trans. I'm confused at which is correct. Also I read there's a 4.10 final drive, but from where??
If anyone has links or info to this swap that would be great..thanx

I'm the one trying to put the one from the geo storm, and the gear didn't fit, i finally put the one from the 2.2! these from 2.2 are direct swap, those from the geo storm need to be machine before they fit.
also the 4.11 final ratio comes from a geo storm and is a direct swap. if your diff is shot, get an other one from the geo storm too, there are a little beefier!
I just got my tranny done with the 4.11 fdr and 3rg/4th gera swap along with a spec flywheel and clutch kit stage 2. DAMN i love it!!!!!!! it pulls much harder!
i'm going to the track this week and see whats the difference in my times with all this + the HO manifold swap. ohh and i also put the team green lsd insert!
last time at the track i did 15.4 not bad for a first time. i will try to hit 14 with all this..... i hope!

that sounds like fun^^^^^^ I don't mean to jack your thread but you seem to know what your talking about when it comes to trannys. if someone could look at my post and help me with my tranny problems that would be great.
