how hard is it to change a 2004 sunfire from auto to manual and about how much would it cost....would it be reliable or am i in over my head?
i think it can be doen but at a cost and i dont know if the cost is too high but i really want the hahn racecraft stage II turbo system but it is manual only..

Mine cost me about $2500 when all was said and done.
I did some upgrades tho... nothing major. Team Green LSD insert, poly bushings, stage 2 clutch.
was it worth the time and money?

Oh yes.... oh hell yes...... but only because you can't find a 2000 convertible in manual anywhere..... 99's, sure.. wrong year for the reflash tho.
Definitely worth it.... but I don't know if I'd want to go thru it again.

Just wait and spend all that money on your next car that can be a manual. You are going to net a huge loss if you do it on the sunfire (spending $2500 like said above, but you lost $810 by not getting it at the factory)... so you're netting -$3310.

yeah but i dont really care about the loss cause because my parents bought the car..
i would have gotten a manual if the dealership had a fullyloaded on in stock but all they had was an auto all the manuals were bone stock so i went for the auto and now i regret it but i love the sunroof, mp3, and power everything so i dont think i would have been as happy the other way cause i can atleast change the transmisson when i get the money and for a lot less that doing the power windows and all that other garbage....so im not worried
