Ok well since i just got my Aluminum Flywheel, Stage 3 clutch and quaife lsd i am wondering if i should invest in a short shifter... Because the new set up is atleast half the weight of the old one which is nice for getting into my power band fast... but it will also drop down faster between shifts... so i am wondering if this short shifter would benifit me?
Also for thoughs who have them ... how hard are they to install? and where would you suggest to get it from? i was looking at Gravana since i ushally try to get all my stuff from Jim as he is a good guy to work with... but same with Karo at Carcustoms....
The First Twin Charged jbody
blue car (R.I.P) - 240whp @7psi..
silver car - 305whp 315lbs.tq @15psi (91 Octane) or 420whp & 425lbs.TQ @20psi (94 octane+Alcohol Injection)
All dynos run on a Mustang dyno
the short shifter will help decrease the time between shifts
so hell yeah its a good idea
Yea but how much time does it actually take off? and people who have it... did you notice any difference or no? plus can i put a new shift knob on the B&M one?

once you drive with the short shifter youll wonder why it wasnt your first mod
and yes you can change knobs
if you shift like granny , then it wont help , lol
so in the words of starsky and hutch , JUST DO IT
Def one fo the best mods i have....shifting was so much faster...my wife takes credit for suggesting it
what kind of knob will it except, my bm is in the mail?
I can't stand driving cars with stock shifters now.
I have a MOMO knob and boot on my B&M. But then again, I took off the reverse lockout...
