hey all 3rd gen jbody owners i got a 97 cavy 2.4 and i have heard of many ppl saving a whole lot of money in a short shifter than spending over 100 dollars on a bam etc? is this a easy and inexpensive method if done right it does make it shorter ya know? if anyone has done it let me know exact specs and if it was worth it reply back
Can you be clear on what you are saying here. Saving money on what? If you mean cutting their shifter that does nothing for you. YOu are better off getting the real short shifter. The amount of time and work you will put into trying to make a short shifter you might as well buy a B&M. If you get that you can't go wrong.

This is what I did to my neon
Works like a charm.
^^^ Well that is not going to work on the Cavalier. Just cutting is for looks and nothing more on the cavalier.
