I just want what tranny is better to use for a turbo setup? automatic or 5sp because right now i got a 3spd auto in my 96 sunfire and i am getting ready to do a 3400 swap.

Depends... auto you just stay on the throttle, so you lose no boost when you let off the throttle to shift (on a 5 speed). Or you can just power shift it

personally, I drive in the city a lot so the 5 speed sucks. I prefer the 5 speed if I'm on the highway tho... or there's no traffic... so the s/c'ed 5 speed is now a weekend-only car. I use the Geo Metro automatic POS for daily driving.
