well ive asked a couple diff. people some say fill it up all the way or about 9 quarts i have no idea dont want to mess anything up its apart right now so any help is apperciated thanx

yes its 9 qts if just a fluid and filter change, 12.9 if its completely dry like after a rebuild

Well, put in like 8. Idle the car and pull the fill level plug. Fill the trans til fluid pours out the level plug.
Mine took 9.5 qts before it started coming out the level check port.

As he said. GM dealer says 6-7qts for a filter change, and 12-14 for a complete fill, or flush.
