B&M Short Shifter
Wednesday, November 16, 2005 5:25 PM
After 4 long cold snowy hours, i finally installed my B&M short shifter, and boy do I like it! The gates feel more defined, and shifting is soo short in between gears, definitly money well spent, goes well with my new AEM Short Ram too, which sounds mean at 5k.

my buddy put a b&m short throw shifter in his 2000 sunfire and after only 3000 his second gear sincro went. He brought it to gm and they said it was because of the short shifter. plus his car only has 8000 km on it so i don't think it could have went from simple wear and tear. just lettin you in on that.

If he installed it incorrectly then it could cause tranny problems.

If the cables arent getting pulled all the way because they werent clipped back together in the same spot.

Mine's doing fine in the shifting category (no different than stock atleast). My throwout bearing is whats giving me the crap now, time for a new Clutch (been wanting an excuse to get that ACT Street Race clutch anyway)

just follow the directions and you'll be fine, and mark the cables before you unhook them, saves from adjusting them when you reinstall them
