I was just curious about getting a used trans (5spd) for my 97 OHV and i went to advanced auto and they have them used for about $550 with a one year warrenty on them. Now correct me if im wrong but does that mean when im spraying my ( when i get the engine back together ) and i rip out some gears that they will replace it no ???s asked?

Probably not. Warranty reps can tell the difference between "wear", "poor quality" and "beating". If they find three bad synchros and two stripped gears, chances are they'll tell you to eat it.
You should get a copy of the warranty and read all the fine print just to be sure.
Wow, $550, that's not bad. Does that include everything needed to swap? Or just the actual transmission?
as far as i know it has everything i mean its not like you need alot of stuff for a tranny just the tranny lol i have everyhing else like the axles, mounts and etc

$550 is pretty expensive for a
used trans, even if its got a warranty. I paid $250 for mine with less than 50k on it.
wow thats cool... im not sure how many miles are on it... but a full year warrenty is pretty good i thought
