I have a 97 z 5 spd. and my bushing where the kick down cable connects on the shifter is shattered in to pieces. Does any one know where i can get another one hopefully after market.
i jigga rigged mine when that happend... i dont recommend you do that because my 2nd gear grinds at downshift and third going in. (not 3rd all the time but 2nd almost everytime.)
I was using a 12mm socket, but I found one at the junk yard today so no more metric shifter.
lol..... a kick down cable is used on automatics..... like the 3speed auto...... connects to the t/b, and tells the trans to jump down a gear when the throttle goes Wide Open.....
