Hi,
Sorry if this is a dumb post!
This morning i couldn't get my car out of PARK and after closer inspection i found that the cable linking the shifter had snapped. I've phoned a GM place over herein England that stocks American Car spares but they haven't got the part on their system. Do you guys know a part number so that i can order one from a US shop and have it shipped over? Also what is the proper name for the part?
Sorry for sounding dumb!
Ian

Cable, autotrans selector cable??
http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/ you can check with them prices seem good. On my 96 Z-24 part #· is 22621784. When mine snapped I was in midtown... car will only run in reverse! called a mechanic friend and he explained that with your hand you can move the selector (which is on top of the transmission) to any gear so I was able to get to the repair shop.
what, the Toyota broke????? I'll give you $50 for it..... as is
hope you get it fixed soon....
