Well the time has finally come for me to install my higher stall converter that I've had sitting around for almost a year now. Yea I know I'm an extreme lazy ass......
Anyways.......I'm gettin another tranny with low miles on it to replace my tranny now...
As far as gaskets or seals......what all should I replace(if anything) before installing the new tranny......??
Thanks for the help

Last time I got a filter it came with the gasket seal for the pan. So that is two birds with one stone.
It is not that you are lazy it is just that no one wants down time on their car.

What's a stall converter?
...unfortunately I'm being serious.
Torque converter in automatic transmissions do somehow what the clutch does on a manual tranny, the stall is RPMīs at which it applys the power to the wheels. There are some high stall converters (meaning higher than the factory) and you could get one made to your own specifications. When changing the torque converter I would change the TC seal to be on the safe side.
The high stall torque converter will allow for more torque multiplication off the line and while accelerating; basically you are going to run a lot faster. Hummer guys go crazy over these due to their horrible 0-60 specs. A nice stall converter is guaranteed to warm up even the most lazy 4 cylinder. Just be warned: If you install one of these you will never own a car without one again! Most people will see at least drop of 1 or 2 tenths in the 1/4 mile. I have seen some v8 people lose half a second easy.
