when the car is cold the trans slips (auto 4t40e) in first but right when it shifts into second it throws you back in you seat and grabs like its normal. it only slips in first but thats only when its cold. when its up to operating temp nothing slips at all it drives totally normal any ideas?
and ive checked to see if the trans is full of fluid and yes it is and the fluid doesnt look bad at all
but another thing ive seen the trans drip while i was under it but only a little drip with some moisture around the pan
any ideas to fix this?

Change the fluid and filter! Plan and simple. I try to change mine before it gets to that stage....

Starts to slip when its cold, then when it warms up it @!#$s fine right?

yeah thats how it is and i was gonna change it it just got to good weather here in MN and now last night and tonight it snowed about a foot so im kinda outta changing it oh and i have no garage to do it in so i have to wait to good weather

not driving it tho the header is half way on and im welding the down pipe to cat so i cant drive it any where to get the tranny done
