quick question
Saturday, March 18, 2006 9:18 AM
Ok please dont yell..... but I remember a while back people had problems with after market flywheels breaking. The center of the flywheel where it connects to the motor would completely tear away from it..... my question is I remember someone saying to stay away from ebay when buying a flywheel cause the flywheel company never got ahold of the bad batch of flywheels. Is it still unsafe to buy a flywheel from ebay??? I dont wanna chance it but I would like to save a few dollars if I could buy one and be safe. heres where i was looking to purchase it from on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Fidanza-flywheel-Skylark-Beretta-Cavalier-Alero_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33732QQitemZ8047364513QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW

honestly its best to stay away from ebay in situations like this that may be costly in the end. like a new tranny.

I think Jake had some info on this. I believe he talked to Bill (Bill's Isuzu Performance) about a flywheel awhile back, and Bill said that a bunch of bad ones ended up on Ebay..... but that was a few years ago.... I did notice at least one of the flywheels that broke (and was posted on here) was a Spec unit...... which used to get their flywheels from Fidenza.....
