Won't shift into 2, 4, and reverse gears. Help!

I have a 96 z24 manual. Today my car decides it doesn't want to shift into 2nd, 4th, and reverse gears? The car runs fine but only the top gears ( 1st, 3rd, and 5th) operate properly. Does anyone know what might be the problem? Any answers are welcome. Thanks.

check ur shifter cables i had the same problem just see if they are fraying or mayb not even connected

It is your shifter cables. They have gotten scretched, will need replacing. I had this happen.

your shifter cable is either ripped or broken..they can be quite pricy to replace...heres a pic of what I did when MY shifter cable ripped..and yes,that IS a mt dew can

..ghetto i know but it got me around till i got a new cable
