Weird Auto Trans Problem...
Wednesday, April 05, 2006 9:04 PM
Alright, normally I come here when I'm lookin for info on my girlfriend's car, right now I have a question on one I'm looking at. The car is a '99 Z24 Convertible, obviously an automatic. Normal light driving, it shifts like a dream, not a problem at all that I can feel. Under heavier driving (heavier foot... lol) on the shift from first to second it seems to shutter... Any ideas on what this might be or what might be causing it? The car has 85k miles on it and seems to be in very good condition. It was taken in on trade at the dealership I work at and I havn't had time to ask one of the mechanics so I figured I'd post here first...

I know my girlfriend took it for a drive, and her first comment was "something don't feel right" I figured it was just because hers has 140k on it and is a '97 Convert, but she does have a heavier foot than I do so she may of felt this when she drove it... Any help is much appreciated!!

Thanks,

Shutter can be caused by lots of things, for one the clutch pack not holding or gripping tightly enough.
