The vast collection of short shifters...
Saturday, April 08, 2006 1:27 PM
Hey all,

I've been in the market for a short shifter for a while now...and while I know the B&M unit is the best, I've been in the new mind-frame of "what can I really afford?" I have a feeling that after this post runs its coarse, I'll end up saving the money for the B&M unit. But, anyways, I've been paying attention to Ebay recently and have noticed, among the various bunk-ass, B.S. no-name brand shifters, that Fidanza offers what appears to be a reputable shifter....for MUCH less than the B&M unit. My question is, does anyone here know whether or not the Fidanza shifter is worth it, and more importantly concerning my situation, does it support an after-market shift knob? Any input is greatly appreciated as always.

Love, Peace and Chicken Grease,

I know B&M's is the best for the 95-99, as for the 00+, i would assume the same, they've been around a long time and make great quality products.

I don't really think B & M is that expensive. Considering you can get it from car customs for $126 shipped to your door.

Wow...$126 is like... $30 cheaper than I've found elsewhere... thx for the info Spence.
Philly:
I've looked at those too, but while they appear physically similar, I tend to lean towards the reputable brand-name companies when it comes to modding my car. The most competitive shifter quality/price wise is that Fidanza short throw imo.
