ok well today i went to lunch with one of my sgts.. hes leaving to another base. Well on the way back i had to make a hard right turn to dodge a van (i think thats what finally did it). Anyways on the way back it starts grinding at lower speeds. And then while i turn either way it seems to release itself, the wheel or something, and slip then grab, then slip then grab, and each time it grabs it rough and feels like when i stall, just a hard jolting. aND when it grabs its a prety loud pop. Then it drives semi fine straight but i have to hold the wheel or it swerves over off the road sharply, and i has some grinding and what not at lower speeds. The car shifts fine tho so im not thinking its the tranny. And when its pulling its hard to pull back straight kind of like the feeling with no perstearing but when its, what feels like alined, it will turn ok. So im thinking cv, axel, no so much the wheel bearing now?, strut mounts broken and the struts moving around in there? I dont really have a clue.. I got out and kicked and pulled on the wheel and it seems solid enough. Any idea?S?
ps. not sure where to put this, im guessing this is the problem so i put it in this forum =)

yes it did some times, then when i was goin straight the wheel would be like at an angle but going straight and fighting me, then i would wiggle the car and the wheel would go normal and the car went straight

damn, sucks too.. i needed it to hold out like one more month... just for @!#$s and giggles anyone else have an opinion? im prety sure its cv tho...
anyone replaced them?
and is a cv the same as an axel? i was going to buy the part from the driveshaft shop. And im still confused. Because i looked down there today to see what was wrong and theres the a arm that goes to the wheel, and two rods, one in the middle of the wheel and one that seems like what would turn the wheel right and left. What all needs replacing then?

A stock or OEM replacement should hold up just fine.
the "performance" axle available for our car are just ripp off. Stock one handle over 300hp fine.

Make sure and get an alignment done after you replace it.

anyone have the part number for the stock cv axles? i think you guys finally convinced me to go with the stockers... and, because i want the team green lsd too and cant afford both lsd and stage 2 cv's

if you only unhook the ball joint, you don't need an alignment

the early cars had a 2 piece right axle , that made each half shaft similar in length
im not sure what year droped the 2 piece right shafts
well it wasnt the axles after all... the picture should do the talking
