lol i was just looking at the ebay listing too... someone put it in the classifieds as a 2.4 tranny... i ALMOST bought the damn thing... good thing i looked it up.
Whats the tranny code for the 2.4? M86? M94? Ive seen both of those all over but i dont know wtf they are lol.
MK7 is the RPO code... regular production option. It's the bunch of codes found on your spare tire cover.
MK7 = transmission, Manual 5 speed, 3.58 final drive ratio
MN4 = transmission, Automatic 4 speed, 4T40E (what my cars all came with... so I have no comparison)
MD9 = transmission, Automatic 3 speed, 3T40
MJ1 = Transmission, manual 5 speed
FP2 = Ratio Transaxle Final Drive, 3.58
FX1 = Ratio Transaxle Final Drive, 3.94
FX2 = Ratio Transaxle Final Drive, 3.91
FY1 = Ratio Transaxle Final Drive, 3.63
I honestly don't know which one is which on the 5 speeds... but those are all listed in my 2000 service manual.

T79 = Fog Lamp, Rear.. interesting...
